Whenever I hear people say that classical music is boring I just want to remind them that Tchaikovsky’s 1812 Overture called for a cannon to be fired a total of 16 times.

What A Weekend.

These past three days have been exhausting yet enjoyable all at the same time. On Saturday, I played in my first volleyball “game” in about 4 years. It was for my junior college’s alumni game and I am so glad I went. I tweaked my knee a bit halfway through the game so I only played two sets but it was nice to be back on the court again.

After the game, my best friend and I left for Anaheim. We spent the rest of the night getting ready to run the 2014 Disneyland Half Marathon.

Sunday, at 4am, we got up and got ourselves over to the start line. 3.5 long, painful, but very fun hours later we crossed the finish line. I am so proud of us. We were actually supposed to run this race 2 years ago, a series of events caused us to miss the race do to my best friend living in another state and I ending up still recovering from knee surgery #6. So, it was so beyond great that we were able to do this… even if it was 2 years later.

Today, I woke up so sore (which I totally knew was going to happen). My shins and my hips are especially killing me. But regardless, I got up and picked up my closest friends to celebrate one of our friends birthday. It was so nice to spend time with everyone this morning. After that I had to go to work, which wasn’t too bad. I was able to get my lesson planning done for the week, so that is one less thing I have to worry about now.

God truly blesses me with beautiful gifts every day. I can’t wait to see what else he has in store for me. Weekends like these remind me of all the good I have in my life.
